Meta recently conducted a round for job cuts. They made no comments about how many employees ladyed off.
Meta Lays off Employees
Meta laid off employees on recent job cut rounds. Multiple employees from whatsApp, and Instagram, aslo laid off. This is a recruting exercise, reports said on Thursday.
No commeents from meta about how many employees has been laid off. How many were impacted in latest rounds of job cut.
Employees Across WhatsApp and Instagram also laid off.
In a recent statement to TechCrunch confirmed employees across teams got laid off. “Few teams started making changes. ensuring resources aligned with Meta’s long-term goals“. a meta spokesperson quoted as saying.
“This includes moving some teams to different locations and moving some employees to different roles. In situations like this when aa role is eliminated, we work hard to find other opportunities for impacted employees”. Spokesperson added.
Employees working on reality Labs, Instagram, and WhatsApp affected by lay off. A number of employees took to social media platforms to announce they got laid off.
Jane MAncun Wong, part of Treads team posted:” I’m still trying to process this but i’m informed that my role at meta has been impacted. Thank you to every one especially mu Treads and Instagram teams, for my wild journey at meta”.

Meta Lays off Employees in the past. they laid off 11,000 employees in 2022. 10,000 again in 2023. Withdrew 5,000 open roles it had yet to fill.
